At First Watch, we believe no child in America should go hungry. That’s why we partner with Share Our Strength. 1 in 6 children in the United States doesn’t have regular access to nutritious meals, and together with our customers, we can make a difference.
Each September, Share Our Strength partners with restaurants nationwide to celebrate Dine Out for No Kid Hungry in an effort to raise critical funds and awareness to end childhood hunger in America. We are so honored to come together with other concepts in the industry to help make a positive difference in our communities each year!
Throughout the month, our staff wears their bright orange “Team No Kid Hungry” aprons proudly. In addition to donating 25 cents from every kids meal sold in our restaurants year-round, we increase our contribution during Dine Out as well. During the month of September, a portion of our Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast sales are given to the No Kid Hungry campaign.
This year, No Kid Hungry hit the road to celebrate Dine Out, visiting its restaurant partners in cities around the country. They stopped at First Watch in Richardson, Texas, for a parking lot party with our customers and staff! Despite the pouring rain, folks came out to enjoy music, muffins, silly photos and caricatures. One lucky customer even won Breakfast for a Year at First Watch!
