FIRST WATCH AIMS TO RAISE $10,000 FOR KIDS IN NEED WITH TWO MIAMI OPENINGS

January 14, 2016

The restaurant has partnered with 4Kids of South Florida for its two Miami-area openings.

NORTH MIAMI BEACH – January 14, 2016 – Popular breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant First Watch raised about $5,000 for charity at its December opening in Pembroke Pines, and the restaurant hopes to double that amount at its next South Florida opening this weekend. Proceeds from the two-day event at the company’s new North Miami Beach restaurant will be donated to 4Kids of South Florida, a local organization that strives to help children in crisis find safe homes and stability.

The event will be held at the new First Watch at 1692B NE Miami Gardens Dr. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both Saturday, January 16, and Sunday, January 17, and is open to the public. A $10 per person donation is suggested.

“Our choice to partner with 4Kids, an organization that aims to create a home for every child in need in South Florida, was an easy one,” said Chris Tomasso, president of First Watch. “First Watch is incredibly humbled to be part of the selfless work the organization does every day in this community, and we thought inviting our new friends and neighbors in North Miami Beach to a fundraiser for the cause was an awesome way to help the kids.”

The new restaurant will be 33-year-old First Watch’s southernmost restaurant and its 47th location in Florida. It will employ about 25 people and serve the company’s fresh, new menu and flaunt its new restaurant design.

The company’s curated new menu takes an elevated approach to traditional and innovative offerings made to order using farm fresh ingredients. It includes items such as Avocado Toast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The restaurant will offer healthy, flavorful favorites like house-made granola and pico de gallo, organic greens, house-roasted vegetables, cage-free eggs and 100% fresh-squeezed orange juice as well as more indulgent, traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings.

First Watch will also offer options from its Fresh Juice Bar, juiced in-house daily from fresh fruits and vegetables sourced locally whenever possible. The restaurant will serve its exclusive Sunrise Select Premium Blend Coffee, made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown coffee beans from mountains across North, Central and South America, by the pot.

The new eatery will open with the company’s latest interior design, which combines farm fresh elements with a high-energy, urban vibe.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers customers complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
