“Daytime Café” opens first Omaha restaurant in Aksarben

OMAHA, Neb. – Award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch has made its debut in Omaha today with the opening of a restaurant in the Shoppes at Aksarben. The new 4,200-square foot restaurant is located at 1222 S. 71st St. in the Bed Bath & Beyond-anchored retail center. The new restaurant will employ approximately 25 people.

A part of First Watch’s a multi-unit franchise agreement with Omaha-based Cutchall Management Company, the Aksarben location is the first of three restaurants to open over the next three years in Omaha. Cutchall, working with eight different restaurant concepts, currently operates more than 50 locations in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Utah and Texas.

“We are excited to bring this unique Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant to the residents of Omaha with the opening today.” said Greg Cutchall, president and CEO of Cutchall Management Company. “With its unique menu, 30-year history of success and strong customer loyalty, First Watch fits nicely within Cutchall Management’s portfolio of “best in class” concepts and we look forward to a successful partnership in Omaha as we bring more restaurants to this growing market.”

The new restaurant in Aksarben features an interior design concept known as “Connect.” It connects traditional First Watch design elements with contemporary executions by maximizing natural light provided during the restaurant’s daytime hours, and incorporating color tones intended to convey the warm and inviting personality of the First Watch brand. The design also accentuates an open-kitchen concept, which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.

“We’re excited to make our debut in the Omaha market and introduce our fresh approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch to this growing community.” said Ken Pendery, president and CEO of First Watch. “Cutchall has a proven record of success and we look forward to opening more restaurants with them in the next few years.”

First Watch is known for delivering an excellent dining experience and fast, friendly service. A recipient of more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country, the restaurant features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga®, Healthy Turkey Omelet™ and Fresh Fruit Crepes. All menu items are freshly prepared to order and the restaurant does not use deep fryers or heat lamps.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
