Daytime Café”opens second Nashville-area restaurant in Cool Springs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch opened the doors to its second Nashville location in Cool Springs today. The 3,350 sq. ft. restaurant occupies an end-cap space at 1834 W. McEwen Drive in the Drury Plaza Shopping Center on the corner of Mallory Lane and McEwen Drive. The restaurant will employ about 25 local employees.

First Watch made its debut in the Nashville area and the state in 2011 with the opening of a restaurant in the Peartree Village shopping center at 210 Franklin Road in Brentwood. The company plans to open three to five additional restaurants over the coming years throughout Nashville, including Green Hills, Belle Meade and West End near Vanderbilt University.

Last year, First Watch made major strides in continuing its expansion throughout the state with the signing of a multi-unit franchise agreement with Knoxville, Tenn.-based Capstone Concepts, LLC to open eight restaurants over the next five years in Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina. The restaurants will be located in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Bristol, Kingsport, Johnson City, Asheville, N.C., and Bowling Green, Ky.

The new Cool Springs restaurant features an interior design concept that maximizes the natural light provided during the restaurants’ daytime hours – conveying the warm and inviting personality of the First Watch brand. The design also accentuates an open-kitchen concept, which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.

A recipient of more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country, the restaurant features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga®, Healthy Turkey Omelet™ and Fresh Fruit Crepes. Every entrée at First Watch is made fresh to order, and the restaurant does not use deep fryers or heat lamps.

In addition to serving unique and fresh entrées, First Watch offers its exclusive Sunrise Select® Premium Blend Coffee. The special blend is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown Panamanian, Colombian and Mexican coffee beans.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also provides guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
