(Tampa, FL)—First Watch, the Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch chain based in Bradenton, Fla., expanded its presence in Tampa when a new company-owned location opened Nov. 15. The restaurant is located at 3712 Henderson Blvd. at the corner of Henderson Blvd. and S. Dale Mabry Highway in the shopping center anchored by the Fresh Market.

“We opened our first restaurant in Tampa in 1996,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “We’ve been actively seeking more locations in the area since then so we are very excited about this new restaurant in south Tampa on Henderson. Tampa is one of the most successful markets for First Watch and we’re confident that we will continue growing in the area.”
First Watch features traditional favorites like pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches as well as signature items such as the Chickichanga and Fresh Fruit Crepes. All of their menu items are freshly prepared to order. First Watch delivers an excellent dining experience known for fast, friendly service. Each restaurant offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
First Watch is the largest and fastest-growing, privately owned, daytime-only restaurant chain in the United States. Of its 82 restaurants in 11 states, three are franchised and four are licensed and future growth is expected to come from key multi-unit, regional franchises to experienced restaurateurs in new markets in 35 states throughout the continental U.S. Approximately 10 locations are expected to open in 2010 and by the end of 2012, First Watch expects to grow to 110 restaurants, with about a dozen franchised locations open and more than 30 in various stages of development.
