New Daytime Café Projected to Open October 2008
BRADENTON, Fla. (June 27, 2008) – First Watch, one of the nation’s fastest-growing daytime-only restaurants, announced today it will open a new restaurant – its 10th in the Kansas City area – at the Olathe Station Shopping Center at 119th and Blackbob.
It will occupy more than 4,000 square feet facing Blackbob, residing in the former site of Bike America. Other tenants in the center include Super Target, Bed Bath & Beyond and Office Max. Construction on the restaurant, which will seat approximately 120 patrons, is expected to begin July 7 with a projected opening during October.

First Watch opened its first restaurant in Kansas City in 1987 on 95th Street in Overland Park. Today, the company currently operates nine restaurants in the market including:

o Overland Park at The Shoppes at Corporate Woods
o Prairie Village at Corinth Square
o Shawnee Mission Parkway
o Old Westport Shopping Center

Recently, First Watch was voted “Best Business Breakfast” by Ingram’s, Kansas City’s Business Magazine. The readers of Kansas City magazine also gave First Watch the award for “Best Breakfast” destination in the publication’s 2007 Reader’s Choice Awards.
