First Watch Awards More Than $17,000 To Employees

March 19, 2009

BRADENTON, Fla. (2009) – First Watch Restaurants, Inc., the nation’s fastest-growing daytime-only restaurant company, announced today that it donated $17,227 in 2008 to employees as part of its tuition reimbursement program, Everyone Gets Graduate Support (EGGS).  First Watch has provided its employees with the opportunity to take advantage of post-secondary education reimbursement since 1999.

“We continually search for ways to recognize the substantial role that our employees play in making First Watch a successful company,” said Kenneth Pendery, First Watch President and CEO.  “The EGGS program is just one of the ways we show appreciation, and we encourage all students employed at First Watch to take full advantage of it.”

First Watch assists with the cost of higher education by providing a credit toward every hour that the student works during the semester.  The credit increases each year (up to four years) of the student’s participation in the program, so that he or she may maximize benefits by the fourth year of school.
