Bradenton-Based Daytime Café is Silver-Level Sponsor

BRADENTON, Florida (September 20, 2007) – Runners coming the area to participate in the 2008 Sarasota Marathon will leave the course tired – but their palates satisfied – as they will have the opportunity to dine on Mini Siesta Key cocktails (fruit and yogurt parfaits), muffins, bagels, fruit and more donated by First Watch Restaurant.

As a Silver-Level sponsor, First Watch will be out in full force at the March 2, 2008, Boston Marathon-qualifying event. Bradenton-based First Watch announced its commitment to the third annual Sarasota Marathon, which will benefit The Foundation for Dreams Inc. and the Dream Oaks Camp.  The Mission of the Foundation for Dreams, Inc. and Dream Oaks Camp is to provide fun, educational, and recreational experiences in an outdoor camp environment to enhance the lives of children ages 7-17 with physical and developmental disabilities and serious illnesses.

In addition to providing food at the Sarasota Marathon, First Watch will also contribute “One on One” certificates for inclusion in runner goody bags.  Each certificate is good for one free meal, with the purchase of another.

“First Watch has been focused on healthy living since its inception nearly 25 years ago,” said Chris Tomasso, Chief Marketing Officer for First Watch Restaurants Inc.  “With our home office located right here in the Sarasota/ Bradenton area, naturally, we wanted to be involved with the ever-growing Sarasota Marathon.  The health-conscious lifestyle of marathon runners makes a partnership with First Watch a perfect fit.”
