New Daytime Café on University Blvd. Marks First Watch’s Sixth Orlando Restaurant
BRADENTON, Fla. (January 9, 2009) – First Watch, Orlando’s choice for “Best Breakfast” as voted on by the readers of the Orlando Sentinel, and the nation’s fastest-growing daytime-only restaurant concept, announced today it will open a new restaurant – its sixth in the Orlando area – at the new UCF Foundation Shopping Center being constructed on University Blvd. in east Orlando. Construction on the restaurant, which will seat approximately 120 patrons, is expected to begin immediately with a projected opening this Spring.
“We are pleased to be able to expand our presence in the Orlando market and bring our unique Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch offering to the east Orlando/UCF area,” said Chief Marketing Officer of First Watch Restaurants, Inc. Chris Tomasso. “We think east Orlando is a vibrant area that continues to grow and provides a great mix of residential population and daytime workplaces.”
First Watch opened its first restaurant in Orlando in 1993 on Orlando Ave. in Maitland. Today, the company currently operates five restaurants in the market including:
o Altamonte Springs – Ethan Allen Plaza
o Longwood – Springs Plaza
o Maitland on Orlando Ave.
o Sand Lake Road – Plaza Venezia
o Winter Garden Village
