If you know First Watch, you know we’ve always had a focus on people first. Now, in the midst of a global pandemic, that focus is more important than ever. We are fully committed to continuing to do our part to protect employees and customers alike, and we are asking you to stand with us in this effort. Long ago, we implemented advanced safety procedures in our restaurants, including social distancing and cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, to protect the communities we’re proud to serve during the COVID-19 pandemic. While these preventative measures have undoubtedly helped to mitigate the effects of the virus within our restaurants, we see confirmed cases still quickly rising in several of our communities across the country.
Our teams in our company-owned restaurants across the county have been wearing face coverings since we began reopening our doors in May, with one simple goal: to protect one another and our customers. It’s time we expand upon that policy.
To protect our essential, hardworking teams and our loyal customers, we now require all customers to wear a face covering in all of our company-owned restaurants, any time they are not seated at a table, with the exception of people with medical exemptions outlined in the CDC’s Feasibility and Adaptations guidance here.
We understand that some of our customers and neighbors may disagree with this approach or have differing opinions, and we respect those opinions. For customers who would rather not wear face coverings inside our restaurants, we’re happy to serve you fresh breakfast, brunch or lunch outdoors at our restaurants with a patio or invite you to order your meal to-go or for delivery, through our mobile app or online.
Thank you for helping us do our part to keep our First Watch family, and yours, safe.
